Terms of service
1. Purpose
These terms govern sales made on the Aquelie online store at aquelie.com. Placing an order implies acceptance of them without reservation.
The seller's identity and contact details appear under Contact information.
2. Products
The essential characteristics of each product, its sizes and its colours are set out on its product page. Photographs are illustrative: a difference in shade on screen does not constitute a defect.
Our products are walking accessories for dogs. They are not a medical device, nor a substitute for dog training, nor a means of restraint. They must be used under supervision and removed when the dog is left alone.
3. Prices
Prices are shown in the currency displayed on the store, taxes included where applicable. Delivery is free with no minimum spend: the price shown is the total price to pay.
Customs duties or local taxes may apply on arrival for an international delivery. They are not included in that price and remain the responsibility of the recipient.
We reserve the right to change our prices at any time. The price that applies is the one displayed when the order is confirmed.
4. Orders
An order is confirmed once payment is accepted, and acknowledged by a summary email. That email serves as proof of the transaction.
We reserve the right to refuse or cancel an order in the event of a previous payment dispute, suspected fraud, an obvious pricing error, or a request that is abnormal relative to our usual volumes.
5. Payment
Payment is made by credit card, PayPal, Apple Pay or Google Pay. Transactions are encrypted and handled directly by the payment provider. No card details are kept by the store.
6. Delivery
Conditions and timings are set out in our shipping policy, which forms part of these terms.
7. Refunds
Our refund policy forms part of these terms. It describes the thirty-day commercial guarantee, with no return of the product.
8. Guarantees
We expressly grant the thirty-day guarantee described in the refund policy, together with replacement or refund of any product showing a manufacturing fault in normal use.
The rights the law gives you, depending on where you live, apply in addition to these commitments. Nothing in these terms limits them or replaces them.
9. Use and liability
You are responsible for choosing the size, fitting the harness and supervising your animal while it is in use. Check the fit before every walk: you should be able to slide two flat fingers between the strap and your dog's body.
We cannot be held liable for improper use, in particular a fit unsuited to the animal's build, use on a dog outside the stated measurement ranges, or leaving the harness on a dog left unsupervised.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, our liability in respect of an order cannot exceed the amount actually paid for that order.

11. Complaints
For any complaint, write to contact@aquelie.com. We reply Monday to Friday, within 24 to 48 business hours, and the vast majority of situations are settled in a single exchange.
12. Governing law
Aquelie is established in the United States. These terms are governed by the law of the state in which the company is based, without prejudice to any mandatory provisions applicable in your country of residence.
13. Changes
We may change these terms at any time. The version that applies to your order is the one in force on the day it is confirmed.
